What organizations are being featured?
Weekend Pupdate teamed up with God’s Dogs, San Antonio Pets Alive and Animal Defense League to bring our furry little friends to your TV screen!
I’ve found a pet I’m interested in. Now what?
Congratulations! You found the pawfect new family member. Your next step in bringing them home is viewing their profile on our home page. This will link you to the organization where your future pet is housed and you can begin your adoption process!
Where do pets come from?
Weekend Pupdate features pets that our partnering organizations receive from individuals who are no longer able to care for their pets and from other shelters that lack placement resources in their area. They also provide adoption services to animals that are abandoned, brought in as strays, or seized from situations of neglect.
How do I know if the pet I wanted is still available?
Our homepage will inform you if the pet you were looking to adopt is still available. We keep our information updated daily!
Do I have to be approved to adopt?
What are the adoption fees?
The price of adoption varies for each organization. To learn more about the factors considered for adoption prices, visit the website of the organization you are adopting from.
Has my new pet been spayed/neutered?
Not all pets adopted will be spayed or neutered. Depending on age or other circumstances, spaying or neutering of your new pet should be verified with the pet adoption organization.
Where can I spay or neuter my new pet?
If your new pet hasn’t been spayed or neutered, seek a Veterinarian office near you. San Antonio also has many local events and programs affordable to all pet owners. See list below: San Antonio Human Society Snap Spay SA
